Pupils to start using the same exam numbers in grade 7,9 and 12.

Pupils sitting for grade seven examinations will be made to use the same examination number at grade nine and twelve.
Provincial Education Officer Allan Lingambe has confirmed the development to Breeze News.
He says that before the education sector went electronic, there was rampant cheating amongst the candidates sitting for examinations at all levels.
Mr Lingambe says the newly introduced system will lessen cheating amongst the candidates sitting for examinations at grade seven because each pupil will master his or her examination number given at grade seven up to grade twelve.
He added that previously candidates were sharing examination numbers at grade twelve, which resulted to some candidates writing their examination under protest.
Mr Lingambe says some candidates had a tendency of registering more than once adding that at examination day, some candidates were unable to write.
