Mishoro Primary School Deputy Head Teacher Royce Nudwe has bemoaned rampant early child marriages in Mishoro chiefdom.
Mrs Nundwe told Breeze News in an interview at Mishoro Primary school in Chipata that people in Chief Mishoro’s area have a tendency of marrying off their children at a tender age, ignoring school.
And reacting to Ms Nudwe’s concerns Chief Mishoro has directed his village headmen to report any parent marrying of their children at an early age so that they can be punished.
Chief Mishoro says it is criminal to marry off young ones who when educated will bring development in his chiefdom.
