Taxi drivers in Vubwi area have expressed concern with the stalled works along the Chipata- Vubwi road.
Speaking to Breeze News, the drivers observed that the works had started on a good note, but that not much progress has been made since late last year.
The drives noted that this was the best time for the works to have advanced because of the dry weather.
But when contacted for comment, RDA, Road Development Agency Engineer, Thomas Zimba says that the works have not stalled.
Mr. Zimba says that there are just some contractual challenges be faced, but assured that the project is still on-going.
A check by Breeze News last week, found road construction vehicles parked at the camping site for the contractors.
About five hundred and twenty-nine million Kwacha was allocated towards the tarring of the 120 kilometres stretch from Chipata to Vubwi and Chadiza.
However, only 7.8 kilometres of the road has been tarred since the works begun in 2013.
Road Development Agency says road works on Chipata-Vubwi road have not stalled.
