Sable Construction Company has handed over the 91 kilometer tarred stretch of Chipata –Lundazi road to RDA, the Road Development Agency.
The completed project cost the government over 108 million Kwacha.
Sable Site Agent Musenge Musenge confirmed that the 91kilometer road including 15 Kilometers of Lundazi Township Roads have been completed and handed over to RDA.
He says that the township roads that were tarred include BP Ring road, Hospital road, Market road, Boarding road, FTC road, Urban Clinic road, Asian Traders, BP Main road and LSTC road.
Mr Musenge says the company will take full responsibility of any maintenance required on the road until July 2016.
He said the tarring works on Chipata urban roads was currently at 75 percent at a total sum of over 97 million Kwacha.
He said the company has also completed a number of district and trunk roads in Northern, Eastern, Lusaka and Southern Provinces of Zambia.
