Sable Construction Company starts putting street lights on tarred Chipata township roads

Sable Construction Company has started putting up street lights that were removed to pave way for the construction of township roads.
Chipata Municipal Council, Acting Town Clerk, Kaonga Namenda told Breeze News that all the roads that SABLE is working on will have street lights.
Mr. Namenda says that the street lights will then be handed over to the council, who will be managing them.
He reiterated that the local authority has been facing challenges to manage street lights due to the high cost of buying units to keep them on.
The acting Town Clerk says that the council will liaise with ZESCO to see how best they can work together to manage the street lights so that the Town has lights every night for security purposes.
