The ruling Patriotic Front Party PF in Chadiza District has fired six officials for supporting opposition aspiring parliamentary candidate for MMD, Movement for Multi-Party Democracy Allan Mbewe.
Provincial Party Chairperson, Andrew Lubusha who confirmed the development to ZANIS in Chadiza says the party had to take quick action against the six members that were supporting Mr. Mbewe instead of PF‘s aspiring candidate Salatiel Tembo.
Mr. Lubusha says the six members have been relieved of their duties because the party cannot afford to go into the fourth coming general elections with vacancies.
He named the six members as Emmanuel Banda who was the Constituency Youth Chairperson, Oliver Daka Information and Publicity Secretary and Bernard Zulu District Youth Information and Publicity Secretary.
Others are Pearson Mbewe Vice Treasurer, Fred Mbewe District Youth Secretary and John Moomba District Youth Chairperson.
Mr. Lubusha has also stated that the Party has not given any sanction to the District Chairperson John Njobvu who was also accused of supporting the opposition aspiring candidate.
He says that as far as the party was concerned Mr. Njobvu still remains the District Party Chairperson until when he wishes to resign or otherwise.
