Some churches operating from classrooms accused of disturbing pupils.

Complaints have emerged in Chipata over churches that conduct prayers in classrooms.
Speaking to Breeze News, pupils and parents have complained that the activities by the churches tend to disturb pupils from studying.
They stated that the churches are no longer restricting their prayers to Sunday mornings, but Friday evenings and even Saturdays.
The parents and pupils have appealed to the Ministry of Education to address the matter, stating that pupils attending lessons at schools, which have few classrooms at times, have nowhere to study from.
And when contacted for comment, Provincial Education Officer, Florence Chikalekale says that there is no government circular, which has banned churches from conducting prayers in classrooms.
Ms. Chikalekale however, says that it is important for school administrators to ensure that they properly regulate the system of allowing churches to use their classrooms for prayers.
She further explained that school administrators should ensure that the classrooms are only used for church activities on Sunday’s to avoid inconveniencing pupils.
