Some recently appointed district commissioners in Eastern Province have not yet reported for work.
Eastern Province Minister, Malozo Sichone has confirmed this to Breeze News.
Mr. Sichone has however, directed that all the district commissioners report for work immediately because there is no time to relax.
He says that he was surprised when he received information that some district commissioners have not yet reported for work despite receiving appointment letters.
And the provincial minister has congratulated all the district commissioners, who were appointed last week by President Edgar Lungu.
He says that the district commissioners have a responsibility of ensuring that they assist push governments’ developmental agenda forward.
