Some sponsored farmers in Lundazi district are stuck with their produce.

Pemba Leaf sponsored farmers in Lundazi district are reported to be stranded with nowhere to sell their tobacco.
According to some farmers, the company is not buying the produce, a situation which has caused panic.
The farmers alleged that Zamleaf Tobacco Company was the only merchant buying tobacco strictly from its sponsored farmers.
The farmers have appealed to the company, which is reported to be buying tobacco from its farmers in Chipata to start buying in Lundazi.
And Eastern Fodya Association of Zambia EFAZ Chairperson Franklyn Mwale confirmed the absence of Pemba Leaf in Lundazi district.
Mr. Mwale however, indicated that he was in touch with the company, which is expected to start buying tobacco from farmers in Lundazi this week on Wednesday.
