Stalled construction works of police posts in Eastern Province worries government.

Government has expressed concern with some stalled construction works of police posts in Eastern Province.
Home Affairs Deputy Minister, Steven Kampyongo observed that some of the construction works had been stalled because the communities had gone ahead to construct police posts without following the stipulated guidelines on the designs required.
Mr Kampyongo says that his office will engage the Permanent Secretary’s Office, Bert Mushala, to see how stalled works on police posts in the province can be completed.
And Mr Kapyongo has warned police officers denting the image of the police force that the law will catch up with them.
A few weeks ago, a CID Police Officer was implicated in the Zambia Breweries robbery involving 195 thousand Kwacha.
The deputy minister has however, commended the men and women in uniform for the work that they to curb crime in the region.
The Deputy Minister was speaking during a press briefing in Chipata.
