The ECZ calls for patience over Petauke Central and Malambo parliamentary by-elections.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia ECZ says it has not finalised the process of coming up with a date for Petauke Central and Malambo parliamentary by-elections.
ECZ Public Relations Manager Cris Akufuna has told Breeze News today that the full process of the law has to be followed before announcing the date.
Mr. Akufuna says that the commission does not want to be in a hurry to choose the date until the whole process has been finalised.

Last week, the Supreme Court ordered ECZ to consider former Petauke Central MMD Member of Parliament Dora Siliya, former Malambo MP Maxwell Mwale and former Mulobezi MP Hastings Sililo re-contest their respect lost parliamentary seats.
The judgement comes almost two years since the three seats were nullified by the Supreme Court in 2013 on grounds of electoral malpractices.
