The Food Reserve Agency accused of flouting labour laws.

The Food Reserve Agency FRA in Chipata has been accused of not remitting workers contributions to NAPSA, the National Pension Scheme Authority.

Some deport supervisors employed by FRA, have expressed shock that according to data obtained from NAPSA this month, the agency has only remitted once.

This is despite some workers having worked for the agency for a period of between six months and one year.

The workers, who declined to be named for fear of victimisation, have appealed to government to intervene in the matter, stating that FRA is flouting labour laws.

And when contacted for comment, FRA Provincial Marketing Officer, Esau Sakala referred queries to FRA head office in Lusaka, who have asked for more time to look into the matter before responding to the complaints.
