The Livestock and Veterinary department in Petauke district denies reports of increase in stray dogs.

The Livestock and Veterinary department in Petauke has dismissed media reports that there is an increase in the number of stray dogs in the district.
Petauke Livestock Officer, Inambao Mawela says that the department has not received any report from members of the public about stray dogs roaming the streets.
Mr. Mawela told Breeze FM Correspondent, Mercy Maseko that if the media reports were true, the district would have a lot of rabies cases.
And Mr. Mawela says that the Livestock and Veterinary department in Petauke has vaccinated a lot of dogs.
He however, reminded pet owners to ensure that their animals are vaccinated.
