The long awaited Chadiza district hospital has been officially opened.
The hospital, whose works started in 2006, was opened by health deputy minister, Christopher Mulenga.
And speaking during the official opening, Dr. Mulenga says that the hospital will make a difference in the lives of people of Chadiza who were travelling long distances to seek proper medication in other districts.
Dr. Mulenga says that a total of 14 million nine hundred and forty-one thousand rebased has been spent on the construction of the hospital.
He thanked Chief Mulolo for providing land where the hospital was built.
And Dr. Mulenga says that government takes infrastructure as a cornerstone for development.
He added that a total of nine million one hundred and sixty-six thousand rebased has been allocated to Eastern Province this year for completion of Lundazi and Nyimba district hospitals.
He added that plans are underway to construct a district hospital in Chipata.
