The Patriotic Front district leadership in Chipata distances itself from party misunderstandings.

The Patriotic Front PF district leadership in Chipata has distanced itself from the misunderstanding that has ensued in Chipata Central Constituency among some party members.
Two PF parallel constituency executives are arguing over the Constituency Cultural Dances Festival, which took place over the weekend at Chipata College of Education.
PF District Chairperson, Peter Msimuko says that he was not involved in the preparation of the event spearheaded by PF Chipata Central Constituency Secretary, William Phiri and former Chipata Central Member of Parliament, Lameck Mangani.
Mr. Msimuko was responding to demands by the John Mkhazika led constituency executive that he should explain who organised the festival and why Mr. Mangani was allowed to officiate at the event when he is just an ordinary member of PF.
Mr. Mkhazika also demanded to know how many district and provincial officials attended the festival and why his executive was not consulted before the event took place.
But Mr. Msimuko told Breeze News that he was not the right person to explain because he equally attended the event as an invited guest.
On Wednesday, PF Chipata Central Constituency Secretary, William Phiri dismissed Mr. Mkhazika’s demands stating that he does not owe him any explanation because he is heading an illegal executive.
