The Patriotic Front PF Party NCC, National Central Committee has immediately suspended the process of choosing candidates to contest the three parliamentary by-elections.
PF Provincial Chairperson, Lameck Mangani says that the decision to suspendthe picking of candidates for Kasenengwa, Mkushi South and Solwezi Central was made this morning during an NCC meeting in Lusaka.
Mr. Mangani says that the NCC has decided to suspend the process due to pending court issues concerning the three constituencies.
He says this means that no applicant among the six who applied to contest the Kasenengwa constituency seat on PF ticket has been picked.
Mr. Mangani further explained that only a candidate for Katuba Constituency by-election has been picked.
The Electoral Commission of Zambia ECZ on Tuesday this week, also postponed by-elections in the three constituencies due to similar reasons.
