Patriotic Front PF Party candidate George Mwamba has scooped the Lubasenshi parliamentary by-election held on Thursday.
Mr. Mwamba polled 4,879 votes to beat his closest rival independent candidate Charles Chimumbwa, who polled 2,463 votes.
Former MP, Patrick Mucheleka who was candidate for UPND came third with 1,895 votes while MMD candidate Gabriel Mulenga came fourth with 479 votes.
Rainbow Party candidate Daniel Mubanga settled for the bottom position with 200 votes.
Returning Christopher Simusokwa announced the results at 01:20 hours.
Meanwhile the Patriotic Front has scooped the Nthitimila Local government seat in Lundazi district.
Maxson Bili of PF got 1000 votes, to beat his closest rival, Patson Sambo of United Party for National Development, UPND, who got 559 votes.
Forum for Democracy and Development, FDD candidate, Geniuus Jere, got 44 votes, while United National Independence Party, UNIP candidate, Blackson Nkhoma, got 22 votes.
Nthitimila Ward returning officer, Edwin Phiri, declared the results at about 22:50 hours.
A total of 55 ballot papers were rejected as invalid.
The PF Party scoops the Lubansenshi parliamentary and Nthitimila local government by-elections.
