The Road Transport and Safety Agency intensifies road patrols in Eastern Province.

The Road Transport and Safety Agency RTSA have intensified road patrols in order to curb the high number of road traffic accidents in the province.
RTSA Regional Manager, Lubinda Sheba confirmed this to Breeze News.
Mr Sheba says that RTSA has now set aside a patrol team who are constantly on the roads to ensure that motorists adhere to road traffic rules.
And Mr. Sheba says that the RTSA has decentralized registration of motor vehicle licences, although motorists still have to travel to Lusaka to register with Interpol.
And reacting to concerns that RTSA has not been doing enough to educate cyclists on road traffic rules, Mr Sheba says that seminars are usually conducted to teach them the importance of following the rules.
