The strike action by Shoprite workers in Chipata has entered day two.
A check by Breeze News around 10 hours this morning found workers loitering, while the shop remained closed.
Placards with massages demanding for improved salaries are still on display at the entrance of the shop.
Some workers talked to said that they are waiting for instructions from union leaders, who were reportedly still in a meeting with management and Labour Minister Fackson Shamenda.
Shoprite workers country wide downed tools yesterday, demanding among other things improved working conditions and salary increments.
