The workforce at the provincial administration in Chipata is being reviewed.

Eastern Province Permanent Secretary, Chanda Kasolo is making some changes of people working at the provincial administration.
The move has seen some civil servants being handed over to PSMD, the Public Service Management Division for reassignment while others have been transferred to other departments.
Mr. Kasolo told Breeze News this morning that he wants to work with staff that can do what he wants so that he can move Eastern Province forward.
He says that there is nothing sinister with the decision because he took similar actions when he worked in Luapula Province and at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Services.
The permanent secretary says that one of those that have been handed over to PSMD at the provincial administration is the Chief personnel officer, Jordan Mwenya.
Mr. Kasolo noted that workers should not be allowed to stay in one place for a long time because they tend to get too comfortable and perform less.
He says that he will be making more changes to ensure that the public service in Eastern Province continues to perform better.
