About 35 teachers who were recruited early this month have been turned away from the schools where they were deployed.
Provincial Education Officer, Thomas Mwanza confirmed to Breeze News that that 24 of the teachers are degree holders with incomplete results, 10 are primary diploma holders, two secondary diploma holders and one primary certificate holder.
He stated that when teachers report at their respective schools, they are asked to present their documentation to check if their academic qualifications match with the results they used to apply.
But Mr Mwanza says that some teachers failed to meet the minimum requirements as they were reporting in their respective schools with incomplete results.
Mr Mwanza explained that all documents were screened again by ECZ, the Examination Council of Zambia.
He noted that the decision to turn away the teachers will not have a serious impact on the schools as the year is almost ending.
