About 30 health posts have been completed out of 57 being constructed in Eastern Province.
Provincial Medical Officer, Abel Kabalo has told Breeze News that out the 30 completed health posts, 20 are fully operational.
Dr. Kabalo says all the 57 health posts will be completed by July this year.
And Dr. Kabalo says the province has continued facing challenges of staffing levels.
He says with the coming of new health facilities, there will be need for more health workers to be employed to work in the new health posts.
Dr. Kabalo says government will this month employ about 101 nurses with support from SIDA, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
He however, says that the 101 nurses will not be enough to cushion the shortage.
