Some tobacco farmers in Eastern Province have started taking their produce to Lusaka to look for market.
Eastern Fodya Association of Zambia, EFAZ provincial chairperson Franklin Mwale has told Breeze News the farmers have been stuck with their produce since opening of the marketing season.
Mr Mwale says some of the farmers started going to Lusaka when Zambia Leaf Company was still buying the commodity.
And Lundazi Acting District Commissioner Mukule Banda says Pemba Leaf which is a local buyer is still buying burley tobacco in the district.
Recently, EFAZ had revealed that a lot of farmers are stuck with their produce after Zamleaf had stopped buying
