Traders at Nabvutika market in Chipata are still trading from an open space.
A check by Breeze News found that a new shelter has not been put up after the market was burnt down by unknown people during the Chipata Central parliamentary by election.
And some marketeers appealed to the Member of Parliament, Ruben Mtolo Phiri to build them a new market soon.
They told Breeze News that they need a new shelter before the rain season stats because it will be difficult for them to conduct their business in the rainy season.
And Zone three Chairperson Ignitius Ngoma explained that 60,000 Kwacha has been released through CDF, Constituency Development Fund towards the construction of a shelter in the market.
Mr Ngoma says that the money is still at the Chipata Municipal council. He says that the works will be start as soon as the money is released.
