Traditional leaders in Eastern Province have been advised not to differ over chiefdom boundaries.
Provincial Minister, Malozo Sichone says that boundaries should not be a source of conflict because Zambia is for all Zambians.
Mr. Sichone was speaking in Chipata this morning when he officially opened a chiefs sensitisation workshop on the role and mandate of the Ministry of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs.
And Mr. Sichone says that government wants to re-install the dignity of traditional leaders in the country.
He urged chiefs to work with the government to see to it that the governance system that has been designed to champion rural development is well supported.
The minister also urged the Ministry of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs headquarters to give officers dealing with chiefs and traditional affairs at provincial and district levels the necessary support required in order for them to execute their functions expeditiously.
