Two children have drowned in two separate incidences in Zemba Area of Mangwe Ward in Chadiza district.
Mangwe Ward councillor Chephas Tembo confirmed the two incidences to ZANIS in Chadiza district.
Mr. Tembo says that in the first incident happened last Thursday involving a 4 year old girl of Chandolo Section who fell into an unprotected well in a vegetable garden commonly known as dimba where she drowned around 13 hours.
He says that the second incident was that of an eleven year old boy of Kamwala section who is in fourth grade at Zemba Primary School who drowned in Mangwe River where he went to fish with his friends.
Mr. Tembo says that after knocking off from school, Taonga Sakala got some mosquito nets and went to fish with his friends in Mangwe River where he met his fate.
The area councillor says he is very much saddened by the death of the two children who died at the same time and in a similar manner and at the same date.
