Two Chinese nationals hospitalised after being attacked by armed robbers in Chipata.

Two Chinese nationals are nursing serious injuries at Chipata General Hospital after they were attacked by robbers early Tuesday morning.
Nurse in charge at Chipata General Hospital, Nelly Banda named the two as Michael Chan who has sustained a deep cut on the head and a fractured arm and Evan Lame whose condition is stable.
Ms. Banda says that the two were admitted to the hospital around 02 hours this morning.
And Eastern Province Deputy Commissioner for Police, Alfred Nawa confirmed the development saying that the incident occurred around 01 hours this morning when armed robbers attacked AST Cotton Company, situated in Chipata Motel area.
He says that the armed robbers are believed to be three according to a watchman at the company only identified as Mr. Banda who was also attacked.
Mr. Nawa says that police are investigating the matter to bring the culprits to book.
