Two hundred and three students from the three nursing schools in Eastern Province have graduated with certificates and diplomas in nursing and midwifery.
This was at a colourful ceremony held in Katete Friday morning.
Speaking during the event, Provincial Medical Officer, Kennedy Malama urged the graduates to be strong in their profession and overcome challenges they may come across in their work.
Breeze FM Staffer, Naomi Mwimba reports that Dr. Malama has appealed to government to put another nursing school in Lundazi.
He says that this will assist the province in training more nurses and midwives to address the human resource crisis in the health sector.
