Police have arrested two Malawian nationals in connection with the murder of a taxi driver in Lundazi district.
Eastern Province Police Commissioner, Grace Chipalira confirmed the arrest to Lundazi Breeze FM Correspondent, Mtambwa Nkhoma.
Ms. Chipalira says that police have recovered the Toyota Corolla, which the two suspects grabbed from Derrick Simasiku after shooting him dead.
She also says that police recovered the fire arm used in the shooting incident with five rounds of ammunition.
The two suspects are reported to have hired Derrick last Saturday to take them to Lunsunta border but shoot him along the way.
The provincial police chief says that the two suspects have been charged with murder and aggravated robbery and are expected to appear in court soon.
