The Drug Enforcement Commission, DEC has arrested two juveniles of a named School in Ndola for drug trafficking.
In a statement, DEC says the two juvenile pupils are alleged to have baked a cake laced with cannabis for their teachers during the commemoration of World Teachers Day.
After consuming the said cake, the five teachers began laughing aloud and behaving strangely.
Later two of them got very sick and were admitted to Ndola Central Hospital.
The two juvenile pupils are currently in Police custody and will appear in Court soon.
The Commission has warned school-going children to desist engaging in illicit activities as they risk ruining their future.
Meanwhile, the commission has arrested a small-scale farmer of Mukanda area in Vubwi District for trafficking loose cannabis.
The farmer has been identified as Mailos Banda aged 28 years and was arrested for trafficking in 266 Kilograms of loose cannabis.
Also arrested in Western Province is Kababa Litoya, 36, a small-scale farmer of Namaloba area in Kaoma District for unlawful cultivation of fresh cannabis plants weighing 18.2 Kilograms.
