Two youths looking for employment in Chipata escape beating from fired Shoprite workers.

Two youths were today almost beaten up by fired Shoprite workers when they took their job application letters to Shoprite Chipata Branch.
The youths, who did not want to be named, say that they took their application letters based on media reports that all Shoprite workers have been fired.
However, some Shoprite workers were angered by the move describing it as being inconsiderate.
A check by Breeze News, found the workers loitering around the Shoprite premises despite media reports that all workers who protested have been fired.
And the National Union of Commercial and Industrial workers Chairperson for Chipata, Joseph Mushota, told Breeze News that they have not been officially informed by the union president, Robert Musanje, about the outcome of talks held between government and Shoprite management yesterday.
Meanwhile government last evening dismissed the statement from Shoprite Management that all the workers had been fired.
