The UPND has rubbished the defection of two of their losing parliamentary candidates who contested the Chadiza and Luangeni seats.
Provincial Spokesperson Victor Mbuzi says that the defection of Sam Thole and Moses Moyo does not shake the party because the two are nonentities.
Mr. Mbuzi says that Mr. Thole and Mr. Moyo did not hold any party positions and therefore have little influence on the party.
He says that the UPND remains strong in Eastern Province adding that they wish duo well in their future endeavours.
Mr. Thole and Mr. Moyo ditched the UPND yesterday, stating that they wanted to work with President Edgar Lungu because he has proved to be a good leader.
