UPND slams Lifwekelo defection

The UPND has slammed the defection of deputy party spokesperson Edwin Lifwekelo to the PF, Patriotic Front Party.

National Chairperson for Youth and Sports Development, Michael Chuzu says that Mr. Lifwekelo’s defection does not affect the UPND in anyway.

Speaking to Breeze News Mr. Chuzu stated that the UPND is not surprised with the defection because Mr. Lifwekelo failed to execute his duties diligently as deputy spokesperson.

He however, stated that it is currently not advisable for politicians in PF or UPND to make such moves because only the Constitutional Court will determine who rules the country.

Mr. Chuzu says that UPND is not the only party that has suffered such defections adding that PF also has some finished politicians.

Mr. Lifwekelo ditched the UPND yesterday, stating that President Edgar Lungu was a president for all Zambians with a clear vision for the country.

Mr. Lifwekelo who also defected with other UPND members further condemned what he described as regional voting.
