Voters are voting in the Kakumbi local government by-election in Mambwe district.

Three candidates are contesting the seat which fell vacant after the area councillor Peter Phiri ditched the MMD to join UPND.
Those contesting are Isaiah Malipita for PF, the Patriotic Front Party, Mike Zulu for UPND, the United Party for National Development and MMD’s Maison Phiri.
All candidates have expressed confidence that they will win the seat.
Meanwhile voters in Bangweulu Constituency are also voting to choose their member of parliament.
Seven candidates are vying for the seat, which fell vacant following the death of Chifita Matafwali on May 20 this year.
The candidates are Anthony Kasandwe of PF, Robby Mwansa on Forum for Democracy and Development FDD ticket and Morgan Mwewa of the National Restoration Party NAREP.
Others are UPND candidate, Bulanko Muma, Christian Democratic Party CDP candidate, John Kabila as well as two independent candidates, Prudence Mwansa and Elijah Bwalya.
