Voters in Petauke Central, Malambo and Mulobezi constituencies are voting in parliamentary by-elections.
Breeze FM Staffer, Naomi Mwimba reports from Malambo Constituency that voters started queuing up to cast their ballots as early as 05:40 hours.
Four candidates are competing for the seat, which was previously held by Maxwell Mwale.
The candidates are Jairos Mchenga for UNIP, Peter Simon Phiri for UPND, Jack Shuma for the ruling PF and independent candidate, Florence Mwayopa.
In Petauke Central, PF’s Dora Siliya is competing to return the seat against Igenious Phiri for UNIP and Allan Zulu for UPND.
In Mulobezi, five candidates are vying for the parliamentary seat.
These are Patricia Mulasikwanda for PF, Hastings Sililo for UPND and Esau Mwanza for Green Party.
Others are Alfred Mandubwa for UNIP and Collins Manga for ADD, Alliance for Democracy and Development.
In April 2015, the Supreme Court ruled that former Petauke Central MP, Dora Siliya, former MMD Malambo MP, Maxwell Mwale and former Mulobezi MP, Hastings Sililo should be allowed to re-contest their parliamentary seats.
The three seats were nullified by the courts for alleged corrupt practices in the 2011 general elections.
