Complaints over challenges in accessing safe drinking water have continued in rural parts of Chipata district.
This time headman Simon, Grevazio Jere in Paramount Chief Mpezeni’s area says domestic animals have not been spared from the water problem.
He told Breeze News that livestock farmers are forced to take their animals like cattle across the border to Malawi to find water.
The traditional leader complained that all streams have dried up while the area does not have dams, where people can draw water from.
He has pleaded with government to ensure that it addresses the water problem.
