The challenge of access to safe clean drinking water has worsened in Mphomwa area of Mambwe District.
And headman Sitamba has charged that elected leaders have made no attempts to address promises made during campaigns.
Speaking to Breeze News, the traditional leader says that the leaders promised that the water problem would end when they are elected into office on August 11, but this has not been the case.
He says that the water problem has reached an alarming level as some animals have started dying due to lack of water.
The traditional leader pointed out that Chikokola area is among the hardest hit places.
Headman Sitamba has appealed to the elected leaders to ensure that they attend to the needs of people of Chikokola area.
