Youth Development Foundation, YDF has charged that young people have been denied jobs in government.
YDF Executive Director, Chinoya Muyeye says that this is despite his organisation advocating for youths to be involved in decision making programs.
Mr. Muyeye told Breeze News that very few young people have been promoted to high positions because these jobs are given to old people who already retired from work.
He says that government should consider promoting young people as they also have the potential to develop the nation.
And Mr. Muyeye commended government for implementing the youth empowerment fund stating that the money will assist young people get involved in business.
Mr. Muyeye was speaking in an interview with Breeze News on the side-lines of the YDF annual general meeting held in Chipata.
