Zambia beats Ethiopia 1-nil in an international friendly game played in Addis Ababa.

Zambia yesterday overcame the dreadful performances that have characterized national football teams this year, when they overcame Ethiopia by a goal to nil yesterday.
Allan Mukuka’s 45th minute goal was all Zambia needed to triumph over the home team.
Ethiopia were reduced to ten men five minutes from time when Mujib Kassim was given a red card for a deliberate handball.
Ethiopia had a chance to get back on level terms when they were awarded a penalty in the 74th minute, but team vice-captain Binyam Assefa skied his effort.
Both teams used the game as a warm up ahead of this weekend’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Evans Kangwa was voted man of the match in the game due to his splendid performance.
Zambia opens her qualifiers at home against Guinea Bissau, while Ethiopia will play Lesotho.
And a latest posting on FAZ website shows that coach, Honor Janza, has taken positives from the international friendly match.
Janza contended in a post-match interview that since the previous meeting with Ethiopia at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, Zambia had engaged in rebuilding its team.
