Zambians urged to develop a culture of saving.

Zambians have been urged to develop a culture of saving money in the banks.
Speaking during the launch of the Financial Literacy Week in Chipata yesterday, Bank of Zambia Representative Teddy Nyasulu says it is important to save money that will add value to lives of the people.
Mr Nyasulu says growth of the economy in the country can only be achieved if people start saving for the future.
He says this can only be done if financial institutions are equipping people with knowledge and explaining the advantages of saving with their institutions.
Mr Nyasulu says government through the bank of Zambia wants to achieve a better life through saving by the year 2030.
And giving a vote of thanks on behalf of pupils, Hillside Secondary School pupil Elizabeth Banda acknowledged that introduction of subjects in Banking and Saving in schools will give the pupils knowledge.
Elizabeth says planning for the future is mandatory regardless of race, colour or age.
