ZESCO customers to experience daily power outages for the next two and half weeks.

The Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation ZESCO has announced increased power outages across the country.
This is due to the commencement of generator turbine controller replacement programme at Kafue Gorge Power Station.
The programme is aimed at restoring the automatic turbine control of the units, which will greatly enhance power system security.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Department availed to Breeze News, the increased power outages will go on until April 29.
The electricity company however, stated that efforts have been made to secure power imports from neighbouring countries to alleviate the effects of the daily outages.
