The Zambia National Farmers Union, ZNFU, has called on members of the public to report millers that contravene the ban on exportation of maize bran.
In a statement, ZNFU also says that members of the public should report millers that sell the maize bran at more than the recommended 30 Kwacha.
It says the recommendations were arrived at on Monday during a meeting with the Ministry of Agriculture.
The statement also indicates that the ban will remain in place until Monday next week.
It however, explains that if by Monday farmers do not buy the bran, the Ministry of Agriculture, will allow exports after reviewing the bran stocks in the country.
It also says ZNFU is required to provide total bran monthly consumption figures for farmers on Monday.
